  1. Hey again

University. Quite an experience. I’m a week and a half into my time at UPEI and it really has opened up the world to me. More choices, way more people(2-1 ratio of girls to guys,HE HE HE!), and of course, more work. It can get overwhelming but the important thing is to have confidence and to take one thing at a time. As well, organization is key. While I lack that confidence as of now, those who have it will say it is a lot of fun and it is a great way to broaden your horizons.

  2. In Response to Mr. Byrne,

I agree that University is quite an experience but my advice to all the future grads at Morell High. PAY ATTENTION TO COFFIN! They don’t just pay him the big bucks to tell jokes and make your life fun for 80 minutes of the day, he actually know’s his stuff. I have used coffinblog many times in just the first three weeks to help with my Global Issues papers! Other than that, my best of luck to all future science students, be prepared to lose whatever social lives you have.

Whatever path you choose, remember to go into it with an open mind and don’t be terrified. There are many friendly people on campus as well as a few good looking MRHS alumni that can help you get where you need to go. All the best in what’s left of 2009 and the beginning of 2010.

Hope to get in for a visit soon but until then, Happy Coffinblogging!

  3. Hi Folks,

I was just checking out the old high school webpage to see what is new and exciting at MRHS (but mainly to see what the specials in the cafeteria are these days – do they still have the meatball sub with fries and gravy?)

It has been almost six years since I roamed the halls of MRHS, and I can still remember Coffin’s Drama class with the Forrest Gump monologues and Titanic spoofs. There’s not much we could get past Coffin back then. A word of advice to current students – don’t ever miss his class to play the back nine at Crowbush, and then return to school without remembering to remove the golf tee from behind your ear. He will piece things together and make you pay!

I’m especially glad to see the Global Issues course is thriving. My class was the original GI pilot class, and it was probably one of the best classes I took in high school (besides my free in senior year).

I have to agree with Mr. Fred J – pay attention to Coffin, he won’t steer you wrong (unless you’re asking him directions to a hair salon). He helped me out tremendously when I was at MRHS and taught me many skills and lessons that undoubtedly rescued me many times during my university experience.

Best of luck to all of you students at MRHS, and Coffin, love the webpage, glad you saved a piece of it for us Alumni to drop in and say hello!
